Turbo Jam – Learn & Burn

She gives kickboxing some new, fun kicks.

Length: Approx. 30 min.
Workouts: Learn (approx. 10-12 min.) and Burn (approx. 17 min.)
Instructor: Chalene Johnson
Team: Janelle and Brian help assist Chalene in the Learn section and then there’s a team of people in the Burn section with Mindy and Anarita as the modifiers


  • I wish I would have done this DVD before I did the Cardio Party workout because it breaks down Chalene’s 11 basic moves
  • Moves include: tuck, pump, zig zag, strike, twist, row, W, 7 step, shake & shed, capoeira step, and the wheel
  • Easy, simple, quick break downs of each move


  • A quick workout that gives you a chance to work on all 11 elite moves both individually and together with music
  • Pretty good for a quick burn

Instructor: Chalene is cute, bubbly, and a good instructor. She breaks down each move and explains not only how to do each, but also why she’s chosen those moves.
Moves: Simple, straightforward, and a little different than the traditional jab-cross-twist-punch moves.
Intensity Level: Beginner
Buy It?: I don’t think I’d ever buy this DVD, but it’s definitely smart to watch and do it before trying Chalene’s videos… especially because she carries all of these moves over to her other Turbo Kick and Turbo Fire workouts!
