Motivation Monday

Rough weekend? Successful weekend? Is your motivation waxing and waning like the semi-visible sun? Whose doesn’t!? Mine definitely has.

Let’s reverse that with an extra dose of motivation.

Man of the Moment: Legendary fitness “godfather” Jack LaLanne passed away yesterday at 96. I didn’t know about Jack, but oh man, I should have! I use his inventions every day! And if you work out, I’m sure you do too.

The man was crazy-awesome, just take my word for it and check out his website. Some of my favorite LaLanneisms are:

  • Anything in life is possible and you can make it happen.
  • Your waistline is your lifeline.
  • Exercise is King, nutrition is Queen, put them together and you’ve got a kingdom.
  • You eat everyday, you sleep everyday, and your body was made to exercise everyday.
  • What’s it doing for me?
  • Your health account is like your bank account: The more you put in, the more you can take out.
  • It’s not what you do some of the time that counts, it’s what you do all of the time that counts.

What an inspirational guy! Wow.
